Verdi Spectacular

The huge success of State Opera SA’s 2016 Puccini Spectacular deserved a sequel, and what better solution than the wonderful music of Puccini’s predecessor, the incomparable Italian master of the musical drama, Giuseppe Verdi. The composer of La Traviata, Rigoletto, Otello, Falstaff, Il Trovatore, Luisa Miller, Macbeth, The Force of Destiny and Nabucco has given the world some of its greatest moments in opera. In 2017, the acclaimed State Opera Chorus joined the Spectacular line-up, adding an extra layer to the already thrill-filled program! With six sensational singers, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra on stage and more than 100 of South Australia’s greatest instrumentalists and singers, this performance let you hear the music in all its glory.
